Getting ready for more shows!
I am currently working on a new series that is a continuation of an old passion, a combination of wood and metal. I am making some pieces that accentuate the natural beauty of burled wood. A few are wearble; brooches, rings, and pendants; and a few small scale sculptures.
Recently began working on a small series of furniture pieces using the same aesthetics as my jewelry and sculpture work.
Tip of the week!
Rivets! For a proper rivet the hole should be only barely large enough for the wire. The wire should only stick out the width of the metal as to keep it from folding over when rivetting. Lesson of the week... precise fitting.
